General Information

Any dog harbored in NYS for more than 30 days must be licensed in NYS
Dogs 4 months or older MUST also be licensed in NYS
Purchase license at the Town Clerk's Office during normal business hours
Must present current rabies vaccination certificate
Town of Ripley Leash Law is in effect

Fees *

Dog Spayed/Neutered: $2.50 (Must present original certificate from Veterinarian)
Dog Not Spayed/Neutered: $10.50
Replacement Dog Tags: $2.00

* After original purchase of dog license, a preprinted dog license renewal form will be mailed each year from NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets. Take the complete renewal form, along with valid rabies certificate, to Town Clerk's Office. If renewing by mail, please send complete renewal form, correct fee amount, and rabies certificate (if necessary), along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

We will then validate the dog license and return all necessary papers in the self-addressed stamped envelope.
