Welcome to Ripley, The Gateway to New York State. Why not make Ripley the first stop of many in New York? The nationally designated scenic byway - The Seaway Trail - follows Route 5 and Lake Erie through the north side of Ripley township and is the premier recreational trail in the country. Along this shoreline in Ripley is some of the best grape-growing soil in the state. You will also find a beautiful new winery, golf course, campgrounds, restaurants, and you will always come across great views of Lake Erie.

Travel U.S. Route 20 and you can make a stop at the famous Kelly Hotel Restaurant or the State Line Grocery Store. There will also be more grape vineyards to see, along with another fantastic, newly built winery. You will certainly enjoy the wonderful aroma of the grapes as they come in to season in the Fall.

U.S. Route 20 takes you right through the Main Street in Ripley. There are several places here to stop for a bite to eat.

Take a drive through the southern part of Ripley township that maintains its rural way of life with agriculture and grapes as the principal land use. The view of Lake Erie from the rolling hills of Ripley is just spectacular, especially as the sun sets along the lake. You may never see a more beautiful sight. See some pictures of Ripley.
